Urban Question

How can the reconstruction of the perimeter of Historic Battery Park balence all modes of transporation (subway, bus, pedestrian, car/taxi & ferry) maintain a world class aesthetic and simultaneously deliver historic content and wayfinding information along its length?

Urban Answer

Through the use of soft and hard scape materials, signage, monument placement and plantings a set of design guidlines was produced to help in fundraising and communicate to the Parks Department and future design teams the intentions of the project.
