As a model for environmental and economic sustainability, the plan serves as an international campus of living and learning with a permanent economy and transient population. A retreat from Wall Street and the gateway to the 'natural' New York for everyone who wants to connect with the City and avoid the concrete at the same time.

Most importantly, the plan is staged to bring money into the north island first for occupation and maintenance. Why are we focusing design and construction money on the south island to build a park . . . it is already one of our greatest parks! The island needs investment.
