Restrictions on pedi-cabs for NYC: With so many Manhattan trips under one mile, it seems that making pedi-cabs more prevalent and allowing them to compete economically with taxis is in our environmental and best interests.

For people in the outer boroughs that cannot find a cab to save their lives - perhaps litterally at times - the ability to incentivise some of the fleet of licensed taxis to designated locations (as is done at airports and some train stations) in commercial and residential hubs would improve mobility without limiting taxi profitability. These outer-borough trips are the ones that require a motor vehicle..
